Closing Checklist for Realtors
Stay ahead of every deadline.
For real estate agents, the closing process involves coordinating multiple parties, documents, and deadlines — all at once. A missed step can delay closing, frustrate clients, and damage your professional reputation.
Before Contract
- •Confirm the title order is open and all parties have been contacted
- •Verify the purchase contract is fully executed with all addenda
- •Ensure earnest money has been received by the title company
During the Transaction
- •Ensure the buyer has completed their loan application
- •Confirm the home inspection and appraisal are ordered
- •Track all contingency deadlines and ensure timely removal
Before Closing Day
- •Coordinate the final walkthrough at least 24 hours before closing
- •Confirm all closing funds have been wired to the title company
- •Review the Closing Disclosure with your client
